We’ll work with you to create volunteer experiences that bring together your CSR programs and DEI efforts. We’ll develop an immersive half-day volunteer experience to be completed on-site at a nonprofit partner in our community with a mission that aligns with your DEI goals. Customized projects are perfect for ERGs, work teams and employees looking for deeper connection to community.

Pack for Impact Projects

Volunteer United offers a variety of ready-to-go, team volunteering opportunities that have an immediate impact in our community. Choose from culturally specific pantry packs, school supply packs, household essential packs, literacy packs, social emotional learning packs, and more, or let us create a custom Pack for Impact project specific to your company’s engagement goals and community interest areas.

Essential Supply Drives

Support our neighbors by hosting an essential supply drive at your place of business. Mobilize your employees to collect items such as culturally specific nonperishable foods, school supplies or essential household items to help meet the immediate needs of families across the Twin Cities. Click here for more information on how to set-up an essential supply drive.

Skills-Based Volunteering

Employees can leverage their professional skills and experience to build capacity and drive long-term impact for nonprofits in our community. When employees participate in our skills-based volunteer program, it builds leadership skills, fosters collaboration and creates a broader sense of purpose within the community.

Community Volunteer Events

Consider supporting one of our annual community-wide volunteer initiatives, such as Flavors of Our Community, Action Day or Home For Good. These large-scale events offer a variety of volunteer options for businesses and ERGs. Engagement opportunities include volunteering in-person at the event, hosting an exclusive satellite event at your place of business or promoting Volunteer At Home opportunities to your employees to engage remote/hybrid workers as well as family and friends.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Each of our annual impact initiatives require year-round financial support from our community and business partners to help support urgent community needs in the areas of food, education and housing. Consider sponsoring an event such as Flavors of Our Community, Action Day or Home For Good with a financial or in-kind product donation.

“United Way is a great organization to be helping and supporting. Faribault Woolen Mill gives back to our community and one of the ways we do this is by spending the morning working together for a worthy cause. It’s impressive how many organizations United Way supports and works with—we’re just so thrilled to be a part of this effort.”
